I like to surround myself with people that challenge me, that inspire me to be better every single day. Sometimes you have the fortune of calling those people friends, other times no.  However, if you are wanting to change this, you can!  You are in control of who you follow, the people you surround yourself with, and the people you devote your time to talk to.  It is imperative to make sure that these people are positive influences on who you are and who you want to be.

Let’s say you and your friends run 5 kilometers.  You are the fastest and beat them all, that’s awesome, congratulations!  But… are you getting better?  What if you were to go and run with someone who runs 10 kilometers instead.  Would you still feel as fast or would it be a challenge to keep up?  This has nothing to do about competition or being ungrateful, but rather realizing what you have already achieved and how to improve yourself, to make sure you are always giving your 110%.

There are three pillars in which your life is going to develop: Personal life, Business, and Finance. The Idea is to grow in all of them as if they were parallel. However you are probably stronger in one aspect as opposed to the other two. So how can we develop the other areas? By surrounding yourself with and learning from the people who have already found success in your struggle areas.

A personal example of mine:  I love to workout, but I am far from being a master in this area, I still have a lot to learn.  In order to improve in this area I try to surround myself with the absolute best in the field.  I am honored to be the friend of Myriam Orellana, a dynamic Personal Trainer, Indoor Cycling Instructor, and Life Coach from Barcelona. She studied Sports and Recreational Physical Activities in Spain prior to becoming a professional instructor in directed fitness activities.  She has over 13 years of experience in the health and wellness world, which, in my opinion, definitely qualifies her as one of the most passionate and successful in her field.

Do you think there’s any way I won’t be able to learn and improve my health and wellness skills?  Talking with Myriam about business, nutrition, workout, and life in general, a bit of a debate emerged.  We began discussing why some people’s results turn out so drastically different than others?  Things like a person’s wealth, or the state of their health, etc. What factors contribute to these difficulties and successes?  Why are some able to overcome where others struggle?

Yes, we thought about each individual’s environment, opportunities, society, and habits, but then we began to think, how would some of these factors change if that individual had created a daily routine with positive habits to follow every day?  Could that small thing help change their lives in a positive way?  We came to the conclusion that a daily routine could indeed positively change someone’s life, because humans behave according to their habits.  As humans we thrive on structure and stability, ask any teacher!  I guarantee they will confirm the importance of structure in life and how that correlates with success.

Myriam and I do not have one special unique rule or habit to create instant success, but we do have experience and results from our own personal lives that show a positive routine will dramatically improve your life.  We wanted to provide the opportunity to be open and honest with you about what we have found to be the most beneficial routines on a ‘normal’ day.

– Wake up 4:30am -Drink one bottle of water, stretch, and seek light-Listen to Money Affirmations-Read 15 pages.
Begin Work: I would say 80% of my work is from home.  So every day in the mornings I prospect, and begin calling clients. This is my prime time, so between 9 am – 1 pm I focus on these most important tasks within my work.
Eating: I practice intermittent fasting as well. I eat at 10am, 1pm, and 5pm. No more food after 6pm.  I had already been doing this because it made my body feel better, but after talking with Myriam I really began to understand why it’s important to do.
During lunch I will completely disconnect from my work.  My phone gets put far away, and it becomes time just for me. The majority of my meetings are in the afternoon, so until 9 pm I am in meetings.
Water: I drink a minimum of 3L.  I get dehydrated quickly from my workouts and am constantly thirty, plus where I live is extremely hot, so I always make sure to drink lots of water.
At 9 pm again I put my phone away.  No more texts, no more work, total disconnection. I use my time prior to bed for me to read and plan my next day.
Everyday I listen to business and finance podcasts.  I will also listen to motivational audios, because if you don’t have a happy and positive perspective about life it is going to be difficult. You will receive a NO almost daily in the business world, so positivity is key.
During the weekends I like to explore new places. The best way for me to find inspiration is by traveling, so I try to do it as often as possible.

Myriam and I wanted to share this with you because we know all your dreams are possible, but you need to fight for them. Whatever it is that you want, start today, start now. It will not be easy, so seek support.  We are all in need of support in different areas.
